Avoid rapid intravenous administration where possible as it may result in a significant fall in blood pressure. Infuse the loading dose of 5mg/kg over a period of 20min to 2hrs. If being administered during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, infuse over 1-2mins. refl.in/m5
