The usual dose is 20 mg/Kg/day, based on amoxycillin component, in divided doses every eight hours. For otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory tract infections and other more severe infections, the dose should be 40 mg/Kg/day, based on the amoxycillin component, in divided doses every eight hours. The children's dosage is intended for individuals whose weight will not cause dosage to be calculated greater than that recommended for adults.
