Patients do sometimes refuse to have angel cream on. When this happens the nurse may not know the absolute need for Angel and so may not contact the anaesthetist. This is unlike oral premeds which, when refused, the nurses do generally contact the anaesthetist.
If refusal of angel cream is going to significantly reduce the quality of the induction, ask the nurse to let you know if refusal occurs.
