Ankle nerve block

Posterior tibial nerve:
Supplies sole of the foot. 3-5ml dorsal to posterior tibial artery (posterior to medial malleolus)
Saphenous nerve:
Supplies skin medially from inner ankle & variable up to the great toe. 5ml superficially around saphenous vein.
Deep peroneal nerve:
Supplies skin between 1st & 2nd toe. Inject 3ml below dorsalis pedis artery.
Superficial peroneal nerve :
Supplies medial forefoot & dorsum of foot. Superficial wheal, 5ml between tibia & lateral malleolus.
Sural nerve: Supplies lateral edge of foot, variable to 5th toe. Superficial wheal 5ml between lateral malleolus & achilles tendon.

Three superficial wheals, 5ml each:
1. saphenous nerve,
2. superficial peroneal nerve,
3. sural nerve.
Two deep injections, 3ml each:
1. deep peroneal nerve,
2. posterior tibial nerve
