If the patient awaiting valve repair develops relapsing sepsis (eg cholelithiasis/biliary sepsis), it may be better to accept the higher risk to fix the cause of the recurring sepsis (cholecystectomy) prior to the valve repair, than risk sepsis and endocarditis after valve repair. #MA
