If placing a non-invasive blood pressure cuff on the calf consider placing it on the side opposite to the femoral access.

If the proceduralist places an arterial catheter you may lose the blood pressure in that leg.

ETT will be useful for airway management because:
1. Many patients will have TOE/TEE performed at the beginning of the case,
2. The procedure will be a couple of hours and the child may get tired spontaneously ventilating on an LMA.

Consider an in and out catheter to empty the bladder at the end of the long case if the patient does not have an IDC in place. A full bladder may cause or exaggerate emergence delirium-or-agitation which may compromise the arterial puncture site.
