If topup required for cataract removal, consider intracamaral block with PLAIN lignocaine by opthalmologist. Use of any adjuncts risks corneal clouding which will likely require a corneal transplant.

Topup with topical anaesthesia just prior to injection of subconjunctival antibiotics if they are being used, as this can be very uncomfortable.
