When intubating for a lap chole, avoid insufflating the stomach with high mask ventilation pressures as this may make visualising the gallbladder more difficult. Either perform a modified rapid sequence induction or use airway adjuncts to optimise the patency of the upper airway.

If being performed laparoscopically, the required right side & head up table adjustments places the patient at risk of falling off the table. Ensure there is no slipsheet under the patient & consider placing a non-slip insert.
