Colligative is an online knowledge community designed to help junior doctors settle into their new hospitals and job roles.
It's a new type of knowledge network designed to make the information we need to know about our jobs more accessible and engaging.
It is organised into topics, each with a collection of individual notes.
Topics have defined note categories to provide a framework for their content. (eg Facility/Service, Job Role).
Doctors are encouraged to endorse and comment on each other's insights.
Topics can be "followed" to allow doctors to be notified of new insights.

To add an icon to your home screen on an iphone.
1. Open up the Colligative homepage in mobile Safari,
2. Click the middle icon at the bottom of the screen, and
3. Click "Add to homescreen"

Colligative can be accessed from any desktop browser or mobile device connected to the internet.
For the best experience use an iPad or iPhone, or on the desktop use either the Safari, Google Chrome, or Firefox browsers.
Internet explorer 7 is not a good browser. Not at all. Although we know this, we also know that most hospitals still use this browser and we have ensured that it works, although it does not work as well or look anywhere near as nice.

To add a new topic, (eg "Your Topic")
1. type it into the search bar. If it doesn't appear in the dropdown, click on "Show x notes matching: "Your Topic".
2. On the next page click "Add it here"
3. On the next page select the appropriate topic category
4. Select hospital privacy if it is a topic relevant only to your hospital
5. Click "Submit"
