If the patient has tumour around the duodenum they are at risk of gastric outlet obstruction. Discuss with endoscopist and consider intubation/RSI to prevent regurgitation and aspiration.

At risk of variceal rupture if portal hypertension is present. A Sengstaken Blackemore-tube or Minnesota tube may be required in the event of haemorrhage. refl.in/l
