Topic aliases are alternate phrasings for a particular topic.
Multiple flow meters are usually needed to deliver high flow nasal therapy to patients over 7kg (when the flow exceeds the 15l/min limit of a single flowmeter).
This can be awkward and time consuming to set up as double adaptors, y-pieces and extra O2 tubing is required.
This system is easier to setup (as it requires less equipment and interconnection of oxygen tubing).
The flowmeters are capable of delivering flows up to 50l/min.

Use these flowmeters when flows >15l/min are required for High flow nasal prong therapy. Due to their nature, you can only select the following flows (l/min):2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 45 and 50l/min.
This means that you cannot set exactly 2 l/min/kg for the patient (keeping in mind you would not have to use them for <15l/min anyway – you would use the normal 0-15l/min flowmeters) and you should use the closet available higher flow (ie 21kg = 42l/min ideally – use 45l/min)
