A good technique that avoids use of volatile and propofol is a Remifentanil infusion (eg 0.1-0.3mcg/kg/min) plus ketamine infusion (eg 200mcg/kg/hr)

Surgeons will inject local anesthetic at end of the case to avoid contaminating the sample. Will need some analgesic (opioid) on board at the time of the biopsy.
