Consider using an airway suction catheter as an introducer to help guide the endotracheal tube through narrow nasal passages.

Using the largest suction catheter that fits through the endotracheal tube does two things :

1. reduces the size of gap between the catheter and tube meaning it is less likely to catch on tissue during insertion, and

2. allows you to use the catheter as a bougie often avoiding the need to use magill forceps to introduce the tracheal tube into the trachea.
