The Prospective Analysis of Renal Compensation for Hypohydration in Exhausted Doctors (PARCHED) study examined the urine output of 18 junior doctors working in the intensive care department at St George's Hospital, London, UK and showed that doctors were more likely to be oliguric than their patients (odds ratio 1.99, 95% confidence interval 1.08 to 3.68, P=0.03).
