Adenosine terminates 90% of tachycardias due to AVNRT or AVRT. Adenosine does not usually terminate atrial tachycardia, although it is effective for terminating SNRT.

If a central venous line is present, SVT may revert to sinus rhythm on injection of cold (room temperature) volume through the central line. (eg 25ml in 10kg child)
