Defib pacing
External pacing controls on Phillips Smart-biphasic-defibrillator. Remember to press "Start" to initiate pacing. "Mode" button switches between fixed and demand mode (requires ECG to read P waves as it can't read from the pads it paces through)

For pacing in an unconcious patient, start at a high energy (eg 100mA) to achieve capture quickly, then titrate down to minimum energy required.
If the patient is concious, start on low energy (10mA) and titrate up in 10mA increments until capture is obtained.
